A message from the AKHL El' Presidente
Hello my fellow Kreammates,
I have decided that, with the new glorious AKHL season that has just kreammenced, an league-wide statement is in-order! Even though most of our players are returning from last season, I find it incumbent upon myself, as the President of this prestigious men's league, to remind everyone of why we started this league in the first place. The formation of this league was birthed by the necessity to create a hockey league of the highest order; ditching the old, generic men's league status quo behind. We had the right foundation through our core Kreamers who had donned the cream & red for years but we also knew we had to bring in a whole new group of players with the character, skill, and kreamtality to create a league that lived up to the Kream name. "What is Kreamtality?", you ask. Well, It's the willingness to laugh off a good chirp. It's the acceptance that some games you're going to be a loser on the ice, but you can always be a winner in the locker room. And that ultimately we are all playing hockey to have fun, and avoid the douchebaggery of the other duster men's leagues. I know emotions can run high out there boys; it's hockey and we're competitive dudes, but we can never let ourselves stoop to a level beneath the prestigious Kream league. I'd like to quote our league manifesto that so eloquently says;
"...this league was established with the highest men’s league hockey principles in mind; have fun, chirp, laugh, drink beer, and REPEAT! Thus, leaving no room for the rampant douchebagery we’ve all come to hate in men’s league hockey"
\In closing, I know we have not only the best group of hockey players, but the best group of dudes in the state of AK. If you are in this league, you have been vetted at the highest levels, and passed the Kream test. Now, lets keep Kreamin' and setting the standard for men's league hockey and we'll leave the hacking, whacking, and slashing to those jabronees out there in DT Eagle River! See you boyz Tuesday!
